

Garowe (Somaliland.com) – An investment forum has officially on Sunday opened in Garowe, to showcase investment opportunities in the state.
President of Puntland State of Somalia Saeed Abdullahi Deni opened the conference and welcomed the various guests attending the three-day event.
The conference is attended by international investors, Somali businessmen, politicians, international organizations and other authorities.
The theme of the conference is “Expand Your Business to Invest Puntland“, which is intended to attract Somali business elite, Diaspora and foreign companies to Puntland.
During the forum, there will be discussions, networking & a product exhibition to portray available opportunities and products and the best ways to invest them. Oil exploration, minerals, fishing, frankincense and livestock are expected to be the main business sectors to be talked.
In addition to the conference, the state government has recently prepared an investment act to pave the way a stable and investment-friendly environment.
The expected benefits of the conference include increased foreign direct investment, youth employment and economic growth.
