Jijga- Ethiopian Planting Youth arrived in Ethiopian-Somali region of Jigjiga to educate the importance of planting trees and how it protects the environment. They began their job by growing plants and trees alongside the presidential palace.
They came in convoy of buses under the admin of the federal government to help Somalis in Ethiopia learn beautification and protection of their land. Somali region suffers the deadliest famine and deforestation Ethiopia ever seen. Much of other parts of Somalia, NFD, Somaliland, Djibouti, Somali region has different climate from other parts of rainy Ethiopia because of the massive charcoal and cutting trees.
The youth visited most of the Ethiopia to share and revitalize the custom of planting trees in the context of global warming.
