President Muse Bihi launches five-year strategic plan for Somaliland Quality Control Commission

The President of the Republic of Somaliland, HE Muse Bihi Abdi, has officially launched a five-year strategic plan for the Quality Control Commission (SLQCC) to operate in Somaliland.

The event which was held at Mansoor Hotel in Hargeisa was attended by the President of the Republic of Somaliland, HE Muse Bihi Abdi, the SLQCC Chairman, members of the Cabinet, parliamentarians, politicians, and other notable dignitaries.

 Presentations were made espousing the importance of the Quality Control Commission to the nation, and also to pinpoint how the community will benefit from the five-year plan.

The Chairman of the Somaliland Quality Control Commission, Mr. Muse Hassan Yusuf, explained the evolution of the agency and how it was tasked as an organization with creating a five-year action plan. “This Strategy will guide the agency and will contribute significantly to the community’s access to both quality foods and other products,” he mentioned.

The President of the Republic of Somaliland made the closing remarks at the event. He explained in great detail the value of a working and efficient quality control commission with lucid and feasible plans to safeguard the people’s health & wealth.

In addition to this, the President commended the efforts of Somaliland’s quality watchdog and hoped for effective implementation of the plan while also emphasizing that his government would fully support the Commission’s activities.
