This development emerged from the meeting held when the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian played host to the Vice Speaker of the Algerian Parliament and head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Algeria and Iran, Moussa Kharfi, who is in Tehran on an official visit.
During a meeting on Sunday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian conveyed the satisfactory nature of the diplomatic relations between Iran and Algeria.
Expressing admiration for Algeria’s historical struggle against French colonialism and its subsequent attainment of independence, Amir-Abdollahian commended Algeria, its parliament, and government for their unwavering support for the people of Palestine and Gaza.
The top diplomat deemed their support as an exemplary model for other Islamic nations.
In response, the Algerian deputy speaker conveyed gratitude for Iran’s hospitality and extended condolences over recent terrorist attacks in the Iranian city of Kerman.
