Burao University Holds 10th Graduation Batch

Burao University which was one of the main campuses in the country has held its 10th graduation batch. Many dignitaries attended the ceremony including the President of Somaliland to celebrate with the University and students.

Its highly organised event hosted by the University of Burao for the 10th batch of graduates of 500 graduating students. The event was attended by respected dignitaries including the country’s President Muse Bihi Abdi, ministries, and regional authorities.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Burao University Prof Essa Nour, spoke in-depth about the history and the achievements of the university. He also congratulated the students on their graduation.

‘Your Excellency, you have in the venue with 500 students from the different faculties of the university who are graduating today. These students had been studying 3-7 years according to their courses.:

The President of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi has also congratulated the students for achieving their dreams. He also encouraged them not to continue to work hard.

‘Congratulations to the graduates after spending your effort and energy to achieve this today. We can not forget the parents for their contribution as well as your lecturers and the management of Burao University.’

The Mayor of Burao Mohamed Abdirahman Murad who is also one of the students graduating from the University has expressed his gratitude and challenged the students to never give up.

‘Its my honor to graduate with some of my students here today. It is also my pleasure to graduate with some of my children. I’m happy about that.’

Thousands of students graduate from universities each year in Somaliland, October is usually when most universities hold their graduation ceremony.
