In the Togdheer region, a clan conflict has unfolded in the locality of Balli Samatar, resulting in loss of life and multiple injuries. Initial reports indicate that the injured individuals have been promptly transported to local medical facilities for urgent treatment.
As of now, official authorities have refrained from disclosing specific casualty figures or divulging the primary triggers behind this conflict to the public. However there has been a trial meeting between the traditional elders of warring sides and the administration of Togdheer to actively mitigate tensions and facilitate the cessation of hostilities.
Jama Baadi, a senior commander within the Somaliland Police forces, has affirmed the commitment of the traditional elders representing the opposing factions. They have pledged to assume their crucial roles in expeditiously bringing an end to this conflict.
Meanwhile, the government remains steadfast in its determination to contribute significantly towards the restoration of peace. It has underscored its readiness to take any requisite measures to ensure strict adherence to government directives, including appropriate actions against those who contravene them.
