The Kazakhstan Ambassador to Egypt, Kairat Lama Sharif, has extended a formal invitation to Egypt to participate in the upcoming Astana International Forum scheduled for June 13–14 of this year.
This invitation was done during Sharif’s engagement in discussions in Cairo with the General Authority for Investments and Free Economic Zones of Egypt (GAFI) President, Hossam Heiba, to explore the possibilities of enhancing bilateral trade.
The meeting delved into the ongoing implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by Kazakh Invest and GAFI on February 7, 2021. Progress updates and future steps regarding this partnership were key points of discussion.
Responding, Heiba expressed his readiness to facilitate the invitation process for major Egyptian companies, highlighting the potential for fruitful collaborations on an international platform.
GAFI, as a state government organization, plays a crucial role in Egypt’s efforts to attract foreign direct investment, and this potential participation in the Astana International Forum could open up new avenues for economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Egypt.
