Report reaching us directly from SNNR says that unknown gunmen killed at least 15 civilians in the Gora Farda district in SNNR on Tuesday night.
Reportedly, three of these people killed are said to be from the Oromo ethnic while the other remaining 13 are from the Amhara ethnic group. According to our source, among those killed was a mother who had her baby in her arms.
Residents in the area told the media that the gunmen prevented the funeral of those killed today after opening fire on the gravediggers of the deceased.
The source added that following the incident in the gravesite, there have been many casualties reported. Nonetheless, our source confirmed the Liyu and military forces have been deployed to the scene to maintain law and order.
