Organized by the Ministry of Labor and Skills in collaboration with GIZ, ATD-Ethiopia, and The i-Capital Africa Institute, the CHCDA promises to be a gathering of influential minds from various sectors, including government, education, business, and human resource development.

Its primary goal is to foster cooperation, devise effective labor market strategies, propose policies, and discover pragmatic solutions to address Africa’s most pressing human capital challenges.

One of the event’s highlights will undoubtedly be its impressive roster of speakers and thought-provoking panel discussions. Attendees can anticipate gaining access to industry-leading insights and best practices in the realm of human capital development.

Teshale Berecha, State Minister of Labor and Skills, underscored the conference’s importance as a platform for enhancing coordination among governments, the private sector, and other pertinent entities engaged in human resource development.

He emphasized the significance of sharing international experiences in labor and skills markets, as well as the pivotal role of the private sector in promoting employability and skills development.

Moreover, the CHCDA is poised to facilitate discussions on several key topics, including the alignment of skill supply and demand in Africa, drawing inspiration from successful practices, facilitating smooth school-to-work transitions, promoting volunteering and internships, and ensuring the quality of skills and jobs within the civil service sector.

These deliberations are anticipated to make substantial contributions to narrowing job creation gaps and fortifying the vital connections between industry and educational institutions continent-wide.
