Ethiopia, Türkiye Conduct Trade and Investment Consultation Forum in Istanbul

Ethiopia and Türkiye held a successful trade and investment consultation forum in Istanbul, as revealed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia. The forum, organized by Ethiopia’s mission in Ankara in collaboration with Türkiye’s Trade Association, MUSIAD, brought together key officials and over 300 investors from both countries.

The event saw the participation of prominent figures including Ethiopia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Misganu Arga, Deputy CEO of Ethiopian Investment Holdings, Yasmin Wohabrebi, Türkiye’s Deputy Trade Minister, Mustefa Tuzcu, and MUSIAD President, Mahmut Asmash.

In his address, State Minister Misganu Arga highlighted Ethiopia’s vast investment potential and extended an invitation to the Turkish business community to invest in Ethiopia.

He emphasized the Ethiopian government’s recent measures to open various economic sectors to foreign investors, aimed at enhancing the trade and investment ties between the two nations.

Yasmin Wohabrebi, Deputy CEO of Ethiopian Investment Holdings, elaborated on the numerous investment opportunities and incentives available in Ethiopia, underscoring the country’s commitment to attracting foreign investment.

Turkish officials, including Deputy Trade Minister Mustefa Tuzcu and MUSIAD President Mahmut Asmash, acknowledged Ethiopia’s significant trade and investment potential.

They highlighted the advantages of investing in Ethiopia, citing its large market and strategic position as the host of the African Union Headquarters. They urged Turkish investors to actively engage in Ethiopia’s investment landscape.
