

The historic aircraft “Tsehay,” the first-ever made in Ethiopia in the 1930s, has successfully returned to its home country. The Italian Government officially handed over the aircraft, a symbol of Ethiopia’s aviation history, last week.
The ceremonial handover took place during a visit by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to Italy, where he was presented with this significant piece of aviation heritage.
CBA TV earlier reported extensively on the occasion when the Italian Government formally presented “Tsehay” to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
The historic “Tsehay” Aircraft aircraft has now arrived in Ethiopia, marking a milestone in the nation’s aviation history.
The return of “Tsehay” is not only a symbol of Ethiopia’s early achievements in aviation but also underscores the importance of preserving and celebrating the country’s historical contributions to aerospace technology.
The arrival of “Tsehay” is expected to spark public interest and serve as a reminder of Ethiopia’s rich heritage in the field of aviation.
Ethiopia, known for hospitality business, Plans for the public display and preservation of the aircraft are already underway, allowing citizens and visitors alike to witness and appreciate this remarkable piece of history.
This is not the first time stolen relics are being repatriated back to the second largest African population from colonial masters as United kingdom did last month of Crown, sword and other valuable stolen items.
