Ethiopia’s President Inaugurates Diplomatic Week Exhibition in Addis Ababa

President Sahle-Work Zewde of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia officially opened the Diplomatic Week Exhibition in a ceremony held Thursday at the Science Museum in Addis Ababa. The event drew the participation of high-ranking officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen, as well as members of the diplomatic community and distinguished guests.

Themed ‘From an African Hub to the World,’ the exhibition serves as a platform to showcase Ethiopia’s rich diplomatic history, highlight its current diplomatic achievements, and explore the potential for future endeavors on the international stage.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia has underscored the significance of the Diplomatic Week Exhibition in providing insights into the country’s diplomatic journey, emphasizing its role as a hub in Africa with global aspirations.
The President said the exhibition depicts the rich history of Ethiopia’s diplomacy providing us with opportunities to know and learn more. Expressing her hope that the exhibition would inspire Ethiopians, the President called up on the youth to better understand the diplomatic history of Ethiopia in order make their own contributions to the ongoing diplomatic endeavors.
The exhibition is expected to offer visitors a comprehensive view of Ethiopia’s diplomatic engagements, partnerships, and contributions to regional and global affairs.
The Diplomatic Week Exhibition is open to the public and will continue to welcome visitors until February 2, 2024.
This extended access period allows both citizens and international guests the opportunity to explore the exhibits and gain a deeper understanding of Ethiopia’s diplomatic initiatives, fostering a sense of transparency and engagement.
