EU Ambassador in Somalia Visits Waddani Party Head’s House

Hargeisa–EU Nicolas Berlanga ambassador to Somalia who happened to be in Hargeisa visited Wadani party leader Abdirahman Abdilahi ” Iro” yesterday. Mr. Iro welcomed the ambassador cordially and afforded a warm welcome. Faysal Ali of UCID joined the meeting and the discussion about election. Opposition leaders budget support and increase of aid to Somaliland.

EU envoy visited Somaliland several times since his nomination as an envoy to Somalia including Somaliland.

EU is the main donors of Somaliland and has been an affective partners since Somaliland disarmed and stabilized itself.

EU ambassador’s visit to Wadani, the main opposition party leader in his mansion met a mixed reactions but overall picture portrayed that how Mr. Berlanga is a friend that Somaliland can count on him.
