Eight cases of the Indian variant of the coronavirus have been detected in Kisumu county of Kenya according to the country’s health ministry.
The Kisumu County government says it has confined the eight foreign nationals who tested positive for the COVID-19 variant from India.
At least 100 other people who came into contact with the 8 had also been placed under quarantine.
