

Mohamed Abdi Hayle, who was the district commissioner of Hamar jab jab in Banadir region has been killed in an attack on his way to his house in the Sarkusta neighbourhood on the outskirts Mogadishu.
According to police who confirmed the killing, Hayle was killed by suspected Al-Shabab fighters. The police said the gunmen were traveling by Rikshows, a common transportation in Mogadishu.
The Security forces in the region have affirmed that they launched an investigation operation to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them before justice.
Mohamed Abdi Hayle is the second governor to be killed in Mogadishu this year. Abdihakim Dhagajuun, the District Commissioner of Hodan, was Killed in January by government security forces at a junction between Howlwadag and Warta Nabada district.
