The Banadir regional police force in a press release statement reported that they have arrested Five police officers followed by scrutiny targeting them at Adan Adde Airport in Mogadishu which they believe are among a large network of police suspected of corruption in the Finance offices, and Public service payouts at the airport.
The Police forces of Banadir region stated that this network is also accused of forged fake receipts, vouchers and books to make it easier for them to loot the national property. However, The office of the National Attorney General who took over their case is preparing to bring them before court to face charges against them.
Meanwhile, The police of Banadir region affirmed there are other suspects with similar crimes and the police aim to apprehend them anytime soon.
