The talks between the top federal government officials of Somalia and its member state leaders are expected to resume on wednesday after a one day break. This meeting was scheduled to take place on Tuesday but later was postponed.
According to federal government officials the poll talks were postponed after Galmudug State leader Ahmed Kariye QoorQoor flew to Dhusamareb due to ‘unknown’ reasons.
This comes a day after the UN urged Somali leaders to reach an agreement pact through dialogue and encouraged the federal government and regional state leaders for the consulting talks which were held in the past two days at airport hangar in Afisyoni.
The term office of the current administration ended on 8th February of this year but still the political stakeholders have not yet reached a political deadlock on the electoral impasse.
