

General Abdirahman Mohamed (Tuur yare), the former Somalia’s National intelligence and security chief has spoken about an attempt to assisnate him saying that shots were fired by the government forces while he was passing the mirinanya intersection in Mogadishu.
He said the troops had been deployed at the scene recently and identified them as “Duufaan” who had not previously operated in the security units. The former security chief noted this was an intimidation and an assassination attempt against him. Even so, the federal government has not commented on it.
He urged an independent committee to investigate deeply on this matter, to find who authorized the troops to attack him as soon as possible. For the past few days, there has been military activities in Mogadishu after the house of representatives extended Farmajo’s tenure into two years.
