Jubbaland president, Ahmed Mohamed Madobe on Wednesday evening unveiled his new cabinet for the first time since he won the presidential election in the state two years ago.
In a statement, Madobe urged the new Cabinet which consists of 23 ministers, including one woman to work on the betterment of the state and execute their duties as per required. The new cabinet will soon be presented to the State’s Parliament for approval.
Late 2019, Madobe was re-elected as the leader of Jubbaland state in southern Somalia following a month-long tussle which saw the Federal Government declare the composition of the state assembly illegal.
Some of his rivals have however condemned this appointment and accused him of not choosing the right people.
