Thousands of Kenyans who travelled from all over the country have already arrived at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani ahead of President-Elect Dr. William Ruto inauguration as the 5th president of the Republic of Kenya.
Kenyans started streaming in to the stadium from as early as 4:00 am in the morning where 60,000 people, 20 Heads of State and 2,500 VIPs are expected to grace the inauguration ceremony of president William Ruto.
Police spokesperson Bruno Shioso has implored Kenyans to make alternative arrangements to view the proceedings, especially from the comfort of their homes since the Stadium is already full to capacity.
Five people have reportedly been injured in a stampede at the Kasarani Stadium as Kenyans forced their way into the venue. The injured have been evacuated from the scene by the Kenya Red Cross personnel.
The inauguration ceremony will be conducted between 10am and 2pm. The instruments of power will be handed over from President Uhuru Kenyatta, the outgoing president to President-Elect Dr. William Ruto.
