Kenya’s total COVID-19 cases are now at 102,048 after 104 infections were announced by the Health Ministry in a statement on Tuesday.
The new infections were tested from a sample size of 3,348 and push the total number of samples tested to 1,220,043.
Among the new cases, seventy seven are Kenyans while 27 are foreigners which include 66 male and 38 females.
The youngest patient is a 2-month-old infant while the oldest is 101.
The total number of recoveries from the disease has hit 84,542 after 69 new recoveries were recorded between Monday and Tuesday.
According to the Health Ministry, 37 of the new recoveries were patients admitted across various hospitals while 32 were under the Home Based Isolation and Care.
At the same time, the COVID-19 death toll has risen to 1,789 after 3 more patients succumbed.
