On 1st September, the US Embassy had released a travel advisory to US citizens against travelling to Kisumu ahead of the Supreme Court ruling.

Meanwhile, Ruto supporters poured into the streets on Monday singing and dancing in jubilation after the Supreme Court upheld his win .A jubilant and smiling Mr. Ruto addressed supporters at his mansion in Karen, Nairobi where he lauded the court and promised to bring the country together.
