Security officers in Mogadishu have closed all the main roads that link to the Parliamentary building in Mogadishu as the controversial session takes place.
The Speaker of the house of representatives had previously suspended 15 Mps from the next five sessions . The speaker also gave out a names of the 15 MPs to the security checkpoints officers and directed them not to allow them to enter the building.
However, the Suspended Mps had insisted that they will not skip the meeting despite the order of the speaker. The opposition has accused Mursal, a close ally of Farmaajo of using parliament to secure the president’s extended stay in office.
The country’s Political stakeholders have not yet reached a deadlock on the electoral impasse while the term office of the incumbent President ended last Month.
