A Tuktuk driver was killed by a government police officer today in Howlwadaag intersection Mogadishu City according to eyewitnesses on Saturday morning, security forces have not yet disclosed reasons behind his killing.
Many people staged on Protests After the death of the driver of Howlwadag district for the death of the driver, there was an undisclosed amount of property casualties in the area and the army fired shots to disperse the crowd, killing two more civilians who were among the protesters.
Some of the protestors who spoke to the media asked the government and president Hassan Sheikh for justice for these people saying that there should be a fair judgment and punishment to anyone who harms the public and pledged for their need for their rights to be protected as the drivers that works for the somali people and the Somali young man and woman.
The protesters also stated that Instead of defending the Somali people from the “enemy”, their youth are being killed, reminding that the government should protect the people and not shoot them to death.
