President Hassan Sheikh Congratulates Erdogan on his reelection as Turkish President

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia has extended his warm congratulations to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey on his successful reelection as President. In a message emphasizing the enduring friendship between Somalia and Turkey, as well as President Erdogan’s substantial contributions to Somalia’s development, President Hassan Sheikh expressed his sincere wishes for a future marked by prosperity for the Turkish people.

President Hassan Sheikh also expressed his optimism that President Erdogan’s reelection will further strengthen the bilateral relations between Somalia and Turkey, as both nations continue to collaborate in vital areas such as the economy, security, and diplomacy.

Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, won re-election Sunday after the strongest challenge to his 20-year rule. The Turkish Supreme Election Council officially declared Erdoğan the winner of Sunday’s presidential runoff.

In a speech in Istanbul late Sunday, President Erdogan said Türkiye’s 85 million-strong citizens are the winners in the national elections that have just concluded.
