Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has said the country’s long awaited parliamentary elections will resume on Saturday the 15th of January.
While speaking yesterday, the prime minister instructed the electoral commission to start holding by-elections in all six regions. Rooble said the government and all parties were committed to ending the election on time.
While speaking on national security, Prime Minister Roble called on security agencies to focus on maintaining calm in the country, urging them to not get involved in politics and concentrate efforts on fighting the Al Shabaab group.
