Public gatherings Banned in Kenya as Covid-19 cases Rise.

In an update on COVID-19 containment measures in the country, Kenya’s Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe on Friday stated that infections from the more virulent delta form have spread across the country.

A 30-day ban on all public gatherings, including office meetings has been imposed with employees being adviced to work from home.While places of worship have been allowed to operate, the Ministry of Health urged the relevant parties to ensure compliance with  MoH guidelines.

The government has also extended the daily 10pm to 4am curfew indefinitely, to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the county.
