Somalia’s Puntland State regional security forces have disbursed essential food aid to vulnerable people in Barako village of Bari region who have been severely affected by the ongoing devastating droughts.
Puntland State is among the regions in Somalia which have been severely ravaged by droughts in the past months. UN agencies say millions of people in the East African Nations are encountering the risk of starvation and diseases.
Dozens of people have been displaced and fled their homes across the Puntland regional State with the number of people seeking shelter in Internally Displaced Persons IDPS camps and other areas controlled by the global aid organizations ballooning day by day.
