On Saturday morning, Somalia security forces in Mogadishu closed some of the key roads leading to Mogadishu. Residents said they could see army forces with their armored vehicles on the roads.
The Security forces were directing people to not use these roads until further notice. Some people could be seen walking on the streets to reach their destinations. The federal government has not yet officially disclosed what motivated them to close the road at this time.
Reports say this is paving the way for the forthcoming Electoral talk in Mogadishu which is hosted by the President and other Federal member state leaders are expected to attend. This is not the first time Somalia security forces have closed key roads in Mogadishu.
