The Mogadishu regional forces carried out security operations in some districts in Mogadishu aimed to prevent future attacks and to find out the suspects who shelled mortars yesterday evening at Hawarweyne district.
The Operation which seems to be part of Somalia’s efforts to maintain security in the region is being scrutinized by Public and Private vehicles as well as questioning the suspects.
Some of the police officers said the operations will continue until they successfully secure the city and encouraged residents to understand keeping security of the city is a collective responsibility and both locals and security agencies need to collaborate.
Government officials warned people to not rent their houses to suspected Al Shabaab members or the government would prosecute them for failing to comply with the directives.
