The Somali military court has sentenced Ismail Hassan Salaad who is a TukTuk driver to life imprisonment after he was convicted of being an Alshabab member. Ismail Hassan whose code name of Alshabab is (Commandos) was reported to have been in charge of transfer and smuggling weapons for Alshabab.
The Somali police arrested him in August this year after a rickshaw he was driving and loaded with explosives detonated, he sustained injuries while another Alshabab member was also reported dead in the explosion.
The military court also convicted him that he was a member of an organized team to destabilize the Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions. The court also sentenced similar verdicts on Al Shabaab members in the last two weeks.
