The federal government forces of Somalia have claimed to have taken over a key strategic village, Ali Hello under Gal’ad town from Alshabab during a pre planned military operation targeting the group.
Military officials told state owned media that this came as the troops are advancing on several fronts in Galmudug State to liberate towns under Alshabab control despite the group has not yet officially responded to this claim by the government.
The army said and pledged to to proceed their offensives against Alshabab as the government’s agenda for 2023 is to almost eliminate Alshabab members across the country and encouraged residents to take their part in the liberation efforts.
The Somali government also made several promises to the public for providing government services to all liberated areas and reconstruction of destroyed water wells by Alshabab, a decision many people have welcomed.
