

A somali soldier reportedly shot dead a 14 year old boy in Jowhar town following an altercation.The deceased, identified as Abdirahman Sheikh Osman Hundow, schooled at Sheikh Hassan Barsane Primary School in Jowhar.
Sources said that Abdirahman Hundow was accosted by a Somali government soldier, who robbed him of his mobile phone and shot at him severally before fleeing the scene.
Middle Shabelle Governor Ahmed Meyre Makaraan Ahmed Faal, accompanied by police officers, visited the scene and conducted a brief search, promising to leave no stone unturned in the search of the culprit.
The killing has elicited a sharp reaction from Jowhar residents who demanded action from the government.
