Somalia government confirmed in a press release the death of at least 25 Alshabab fighters during a military operation in Hawadley town of Middle Shabelle region. However, the government did not disclose the casualties on their side in the statement.
Some of the Al Shabaab members were reported killed after national army forces along with local pro government militia targeted specific areas in Dhagahoow village where Alshabab members were stationed.
The anti Alshabab war is still underway in many parts of the country as the President of Somalia drew a line at the completion of the first phase of the war and they will soon launch the second phase in Southwest state of Somalia.
Hassan Sheikh set a plan this year to be the end of Alshabab era or atleast the group to face their greatest destruction. The government has already claimed the killing of hundreds of Al Shabaab members and liberation of many strategic localities.
