Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has pledged that his country will strengthen the relations with Somalia.
In a meeting with Somali prime minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, Al Maktoum expressed the UAE’s commitment to expand cooperation with Somalia in various vital sectors and enhance partnerships to further the mutual interests of the two countries.
The Ruler of Dubai expressed the Arab nation’s commitment to further the relations between the two countries in terms of trade, economic development, aid and other vital sectors, while striving to uphold mutual interests between the two nations.
Prime Minister Roble thanked his UAE counterpart for his government’s contribution to the relief efforts for the Somali people affected by the drought.
PM Roble had apologized for the seizure of nine million dollars from the United Arab Emirates in April 2018 at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu and promised the UAE government that the money would be returned to the UAE government as soon as possible.
