The government of Somalia stated that the National Intelligence & Security Agency [NISA] Forces and international partners allegedly killed up to 18 Alshabab fighters and an unspecified number were injured in a planned operation in the Sabiid area of the Lower Shabelle region.
This operation targeted Al-Shabaab fighters in the forest area, who allegedly wanted to attack the national army camp and local pro-government clan militia in the Sabiid area of the Lower Shabelle region, were all killed and got injured in this operation, a claim Al-Shabaab is yet to comment on.
Somalia Army Forces and International Partners are underway to target and liberate Al-Shabaab fighters from many parts in central and southern Somalia.
