Somalia army killed two Alshabab ringleaders in Bakool

According to Somalia National Forces, they have killed two Alshabab ringleaders following a special operation carried out in the Dhursheen area, near Bakool, in Somalia’s Southwest state.

A military spokesperson who spoke exclusively to Somali news agency (SONNA), has identified the two as Ahmed Moragabay and Ali Gadhweyne. The national army did not disclose if there were any casualties on their side during the raid.

The two are said to have been in charge of extorting money from civilians to finance the group’s agenda. The killing of these Alshabab fighters comes as the war between the group and the government still continues in some parts of Southern and central Somalia.

President Hassan Sheikh also paid a visit to the recently liberated areas from Alshabab, urging the locals to continue their fight against the group until they liberate all their villages to live in peace and prosperity.
