Somalia’s foreign minister Abdi Saed Muse hosted German delegates at his office in Mogadishu. The two sides discussed issues pertaining to security, trade and diplomatic relations in the coming years.
The German delegation was led by Thorsten Hutter, Head of the East Africa Division at the German Foreign Office, accompanied by the Head of the East Africa Division of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation & Development.They also discussed the ongoing elections and possibilities to expedite the process.
The German government pledged to stand by Somalia and will be supporting various development sectors such as maritime, security and the Piracy threat in the horn of Africa state.
Somalia’s foreign affairs minister extended gratitude to the officials and their commitment of strengthening ties between the two countries.
