

Somalia’s federal government has called on the two allied states of Somalia; Puntland and Jubaland to attend and take part in the national forum discussing the electoral disputes between the country’s Political stakeholders in Mogadishu.
Ahmed Mohamed Madobe and Saed Abdullahi Deni of Jubaland and Puntland states respectively have skipped the meeting, citing that some of their demands have not been met prior to the start of the talks.
Osman Abukar Dubbe, the Minister of Information Speaking to the media has expressed hope that the two leaders join the summit to discuss differences over the electoral process.
On Monday, Somalia Leaders commenced a two day consultative meeting over the electoral disagreements in the country. The international community has also urged the country’s political stakeholders to reach an immediate political deadlock for the interest of all.
Other previous scheduled meetings ended up failing, after the two Somalia allied states; Puntland and Jubaland declined to attend, but, now, the public is looking forward to the outcome of this meeting at Afisyone in Mogadishu.
