The Ministry of health in Somalia has announced that the use of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine has not endangered people’s health and urged people to get vaccinated. Minister Fowzia Abikar said the majority of international medical regulatory agencies had confirmed the safety of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine following thorough investigation into the vaccine in the past week.
Recently, Somalia received the first batch of doses of the Oxford of the Astrazeneca Vaccine. making a crucial step in the fight against the virus as deaths continue to rise that would be allocated to frontline workers, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions.
But the public seemed to be nervous of using it after spreading rumors that the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine may cause blood clots but, now, the country’s ministry of health says AstraZeneca remains safe.
