Federal government officials led by Somalia’s interior minister, Ahmed Moalim Fiqi have arrived in Adaado of Galgaduud region where regional administration officials have welcomed him at the airport.
The federal government officials made a visit to Bahdo district to engage in talks with locals and some of the regional administration over the ongoing anti Alshabab war in the region. The interior minister is also expected to encourage the residents to take their part in the war against Alshabab.
The federal government forces and local militias continue their military operation against the Al-Shabaab fighters in the Galgaduud region. Military commanders believe Al-shabaab fighters and some of their leaders are still hiding in Elbur district where the Somalia armed forces are focusing their operations to flush them out.
The current administration of Somalia is preparing the second phase of the anti Alshabab war which the President had announced a few weeks ago and claimed that the first phase was successful and liberated more strategic villages from Alshabab.
