The Government of Somalia leaders at the 5th meeting of the National Consultative Council between the federal government and member states in Baidoa city, southwest agreed upon some major federal issues including the formation of two independent institutions, The National Revenue Agency and The Commission for Allocation and Acceleration of Revenue.
The National Consultative Council also agreed to complete the analysis of the Democratization of the elections at the next meeting of the Council which will take place in May 2023. also, the Council agreed to implement and approve the completion of the revised Security Framework Agreement.
The council also shared reports of the situation of the country, especially the security, the war against Al-shabab, climate change and drought. The council agreed on all the topics of the meeting except the Puntland State President Sicid Abdullahi Dani who reportedly declined to attend the meeting.
