

Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo, the President of Somalia and his prime minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble have condemned Sauturday’s suicide bomb attack near Villa Somalia.
In a statement, President Farmaajo has extended condolences to families of the victims killed in the sucide bomb explosion at a security checkpoint in El-Gab vicinity near the presidential palace in the Somali capital.
The checkpoint falls on the route to the airport in Mogadishu, used by Somalia’s president and prime minister.
According to Abdifatah Aden Hassan, the Somali police spokesman, the blast claimed the lives of seven people.
Among those killed in the attack are a mother, her two children and Hibak Abukar who worked at the office of Somali PM.
Prime Minister Roble has also wished quick for those wounded in the attack.
Al Shabaab claimed to have carried out the attack but did not give much detail about who was the main target.
