A delegation led by the Minister of Defense of the Federal republic of Somalia Abduqadir Mohamed Noor, who received an official invitation from the United Arab Emirates has arrived in Abu Dhabi.
The minister and his delegation were warmly welcomed in Dubai and were welcomed at the airport by senior officials of the Ministry of Defense of the UAE. he is expected to hold meetings with some of the country’s top officials, including his UAE counterpart, where they will discuss strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Somalia and UAE seem to be restoring their good diplomatic relations as the former Somalia’s administration had shaky relations with UAE over the gulf crisis. The UAE was also among the first countries President Hassan Sheikh paid a foreign trip immediately after his election.
