The Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Federal Government of Somalia Fardowsa Osman Egal has received in her office the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Somalia Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al-Muwalad, while discussing the plan to prepare for Hajj flights and cooperation in the development of transport and aviation.
Minister Fardowsa confirmed that this year’s government plan for the Hajj is to facilitate the flights that will carry the pilgrims, She added that cooperation and the international relations in aviation and transportation will play a vital role in the plans and efforts of the country.
Somalia and Saudi Arabia have a long history of cooperation on transport and aviation, however, the Hajji time is estimated to be late June 2023 to early July as many people raised complaints about last year’s Hajj over the cost of flights.
