The council of opposition presidential candidates of Somalia have reacted to the emerging contradictions between the President of Somalia and the Prime minister over the expulsion of the National Intelligence Chief, Fahad Yasin.
They have backed the prime minister’s decision to sack the NISA boss. The opposition candidates stated that the Prime minister is much concerned about ways and means the victim’s family could get justice.
The sacking comes barely a day after the PM gave Fahad Yasin a 48 hours ultimatum to produce a report on the death of a female spy, Ikran Tahlil. Fahad Yasin reportedly
Called for a national security council shortly before he was sacked so he could properly explain how Ikran Tahlil went missing.
Ikran Tahlil was a cybersecurity expert with NISA. The intelligence agency announced on Friday that she was murdered by Al Shabaab. Though the group later denied the accusations.
