

The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has held meetings with some of the international diplomats in Mogadishu. Villa Somalia said the center of discussion was the ongoing war against Alshabab that is taking place in several parts of the country.
President Hassan Sheikh reaffirmed his government’s commitment to liberate the remaining villages from Alshabab and expressed gratitude to the pro-government militia for playing a magnificent role in the liberation war.
In a statement issued by Villa Somalia, President Hassan Sheikh understands that the public is now united against Alshabab and the group has no place to escape or survive as most residents of localities aim to support government forces.
Meanwhile, the international diplomats acclaimed government forces’ efforts to liberate strategic places from Alshabab and pledged to extend support to the federal government and federal member states towards the ongoing war targeting Al Shabaab members.
