

The President of the federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mahamoud, visited Hiilweyne camp, which is located between Mogadishu city and Balad district in the Middle Shabelle region, to meet the recently graduated military police troops in Uganda.
President Hassan Sheikh Mahamoud, inspected the situation of the troops, while listening to reports from the leading officers of these forces. These new troops will participate in the security of the capital Mogadishu, in a new move by the government to prioritize the security of the country’s citizens, safety of Somali citizens.
The president expressed happiness and praised the military police troops, urged them to maintain the discipline and rules of the army, and to take responsibility and fulfill their obligations to ensure the safety of Somali citizens, and set an example for other forces that are currently working to protect the security of the country.
However, The government prioritizes ensuring the security of the country at this time in the fight against Al-Shabaab, to not disrupt the security of the country’s capital and other free cities.
