Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has publically affirmed that he is endorsing no candidate for this forthcoming presidential election. During his remarks at a public ceremony in Mogadishu’s Daynile district the premier announced he has no personal interest and will not be backing any particular aspirant and reiterated that he will hold free and fair elections.
Mohamed Hussein Roble said that Farmajo will be for him with the other candidates and his biggest priority is to hold open, free and transparent elections in this horn of africa state. He also noted the importance of uniting the public interest and avoiding construction shortcomings, to move forward with the holding of elections.
Mr. Roble was tasked by incumbent President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo to lead the country’s preparation for the parliamentary and presidential elections scheduled to take place in August 2021.
Most of the opposition Presidential candidates had expressed confidence in him and asked to take the responsibilities of holding credible elections in the country.
