The prime minister of somalia Hamse Abdi Barre has held a meeting with the new administration of Banadir region led by the Governor of Banadir region and the mayor of Mugadisho Yusuf Hussien Jimcale, also the meeting was attended by the minister of women and human rights Khadija Mahamed Diriye and the Minister of Defence of Somalia Maxamed Ali Haga and the Deputy Minister of the ministry of information, Culture and Tourism Abdirahman Yusuf Al-Cadala.
The main focus of the discussion was to strengthen the security of Banadir region which has experienced deadly attacks from Alshabab in recent months and the possible ways to encourage residents to join the anti Alshabab war.
Hamse Abdi Barre told the new administration of Banadir region the importance to be vigilant towards possible future attacks and to increase their efforts to advance the security of the city, claiming the government successfully liberated Al-shabab from most of the villages and regions of somalia and is possible that Al-shabab could Attack Mogadishu.
On his side, The Governor of Banadir region Yusuf Hussien Jimcale promised that Mogadishu will be secured and his administration will give extra efforts to keep the safety of the people and their properties.
